Pixie in the community
We want to make a positive difference to our local community and we do this by focusing on issues that are important for our business, our staff, our customers and our local community.
Pixie is an active member of the Hale Business Association (HBA). The HBA was established in January 2014 and it exists to help create a community spirit and make a difference to the lives of the businesses operating within Hale.
The new Hale Business Association website will be going live in the New Year. In the meantime if you would like to find out more about the HBA please email Johanna Bolhoven.

Work with us
If you’d like to hold an activity in our store, we’d love to hear from you. We don’t make a charge to use our shop space but we do ask that suppliers make a small donation to one of our chosen charities.
To discuss an event or in-store activity please email Johanna Bolhoven.
Our chosen charities
We are proud supporters of Francis House Children’s Hospice in Manchester and Key 103 ‘Cash for Kids’ and do all we can to support their work.
Franics House cares for children and young adults with life shortening illnesses from across the Greater Manchester region. They provide specialist care in a homely, happy and secure place, helping the children to live life to the full and offering much needed support, friendship and an essential break to their families. Cash for Kids is the official charity of Key 103 & Magic 1152 and provides a helping hand to disabled and disadvantaged children across Greater Manchester. To find out more about Key 103 Cash for Kids click here.
Pixie Awards
Pixie was a finalist for the national Drapers Independents Awards 2014, 2015 and 2016, nominated in the niche retailer category. Pixie was also a finalist for the national CWB Awards, nominated in the Best Kids Shop category.
Drapers are the authority in the UK fashion business and their awards celebrate innovation and talent within the fashion retailing community, identifying who is leading the way in the independent sector.
Gillian Franks, owner of Pixie boutique, said: “This is a prestigious award and we were honoured to be short listed amongst a number of other successful boutique businesses.”
